5 Must-Have Pieces To Stand Out At Clockenflap 2015

Hong Kong’s biggest music and arts festival, Clockenflap, is just around the corner! For those who haven’t been able to make it to Glastonbury or Coachella, Clockenflap is THE annual affair to look forward to. A whole weekend of picnicking, grooving to really cool artistes (the 2013 edition fulfilled my teenage dream of watching Glasgow boys Franz Ferdinand live) — what’s there not to love?

Just like Glasto and Coachella, a key element is the fashion. However, it can be tricky to stand out among the sea of fringed crop tops, flower crowns and ripped denims that characterise music festivals. Here are 5 must-have pieces for you to beat the crowd and stay comfortable:

5. INDIKAH Kendra Mini Max Skirt

Festivals are a great excuse to unleash your psychedelic side. If you’re not a fan of going all out with loud colours, try pairing neon colours with flowy fabrics — the colours are eye-catching while the silhouette is flirty and feminine.

4. seoulgreathk Fringe Hem Tee

Temperatures are forecasted to dip, but what’s a festival without some boho fringe? Have your cake and eat it in this fringe hem tee which comes in this fall’s “it” colour, tan.

3. ZALORA Glitter Plimsolls

Dance the day and night away, AND not have painful feet in these gold shoes! Another thing about festivals: where there’s food and drink, there’s bound to be spillage, and you want your kicks to be easy breezy cleaning.

I’m also getting a “My Drive Thru” vibe from these shoes, even if they’re not Converse.

2. ALDO Braccia Sunglasses

Although we’re moving toward winter, the sunlight can still be harsh — it’s important that you protect your peepers. How do you stand out from all the John Lennon sunglasses? By jazzing your trusty Lennon piece with flowers, of course!

1. HAPPY FRIDAY Popcorn Bag

Clockenflap opens on Friday, so what better way to kick it off with this Happy Friday bag? Stash your essentials into a comfy, lightweight sling bag like this one, so that you can jump up and down to your favourite band.

What are you bringing to Clockenflap 2015? Who are the bands you’re looking forward to? Let us know in the comments below!
