Formed by Georgina Wilson and her three fashion-savvy pals, Bea Soriano, Martine Cajucom, and Eric Dee Jr, Sunnies Studios offers a range of unisex trend-savvy sunglasses with on-trend and vintage-inspired designs. The gorgeous face of Sunnies Studios Cali cool campaigns is the glamorous Georgina Wilson. The Flipina-British international celebrity, model and entrepreneur is among the country’s most respected personalities. Aside from being a co-owner and Marketing Director of Sunnies Studios, she was also the head judge and host of this year’s Asia’s Next Top Model cycle 3 — bringing her fashionista flair and knowledge to the table.

What inspired you to start your own fashion accessories brand and why sunglasses?

I’ve always loved how sunglasses can take a seemingly plain outfit and make it have a lot more character and style. I usually get ready in quite a rush so I need quick statement accessories like sunglasses to do the trick for me. What I love about sunglasses too is that it doesn’t have to cost a fortune, I’ve found my best pairs at vintage shops! So I decided it would be perfect to make a line of sunglasses that were stylish and affordable, and Sunnies was born!

What are the advantages and disadvantages of co-owning a fashion brand with your friends?

Honestly I’ve been so lucky with my business partners. We all respect each other so much and have so much fun working together. I couldn’t imagine doing it with anyone else.

You have a lot of experience within the fashion industry both in-front and behind the camera, how has your fashion experience helped you with the creation and branding of Sunnies Studios?

It has helped me probably in more ways than I’ve actually had time to process and realise. Being in touch and interested with the current trends obviously helps but I think my knowledge of more of behind the scenes and marketing a brand has been the most helpful. I’ve been involved in so many different campaigns and worked with so many brands that it’s definitely taught me so much.

Who and what were the style inspirations behind the Sunnies Summer 2015 collection?

At Sunnies we’re constantly inspired by random things. Could be anything from a cute print on pinterest to a pantone that were obsessing over. We have a lot of retro mood boards and we’re inspired by our favourite silhouettes and icons from each decade.

Which key accessories make up a stand-out outfit for you?

Sunglasses, shoes and a cute bag.

How would you describe your personal style?

Classic silhouettes with playful twists.

What are you fashion must-haves for Summer?

Everyone needs the perfect one piece and obviously a bunch of different Sunnies! It would be pretty boring if all your summer selfies had the same pair of shades.

Who is you style icon and why?

Alexa Chung and Kate Moss. They make being stylish look so easy and effortless — I love that.

Tell us what’s in your handbag right now.

My diary as I still like to write down appointments and schedules J Lip balm, hand-sanitizer, perfume, cell phone and my ever trusty charger pack.

What’s next for Sunnies?

Sunnies has so much room to grow! We’re still such a young company and we have really big dreams and plans for the brand. Expansions, brand extensions and just a whole bunch of fun exciting things — can’t wait to share what we have in store for our brand.
