The Beginner’s Guide To Building A Makeup Kit

If you are a beginner to makeup, it can be quite challenging to build your own makeup kit. The large range of colour selection in the makeup racks are enough to confuse you and now you have got to decide between the brands and formulas! With every product promising to do miracles to your skin, you may be overwhelmed on what to choose. So to make your life a little easier, we have gathered a few must have items for your basic makeup kit that are easy to apply and flattering on everyone!

BB Cream

The biggest challenge with foundations are choosing the one with the right shade and coverage. It is very easy for one to go overboard with the foundation and we certainly do not want to have a cakey base, do we? So for the starter makeup kit, the BB cream will work just fine. It has skincare benefits like a moisturiser and sunscreen combined into a foundation! As a bonus, it is rather light in coverage and therefore you do not need to trouble yourself too much with finding the right shade!

Eyebrow Powder

Eyebrows are very important to not only bring attention to your eyes but also frame your face and give it a clean look. The easiest way to do your brows is using a brow powder. Simply get the angled brow brush and fill in your brows for a fuller and thicker brow look. If you have a little more in your pocket to splurge, get your bows groomed. Groomed brows are the secret to achieving a sharp and clean cut look.

Concealer

Concealers are a must have to achieve a flawless base. If you are one who gets occasional break outs, simply cover it up and get it fixed with the concealer. As a side tip, if you have oily skin, mattify your concealer with loose powder to keep it intact throughout the day.

Eyelash Curler and Mascara

Your eyes are the windows to the soul! Thus it is important that you keep your eyes looking fresh and awake throughout the day! Get natural looking eyes by curling lashes from the base to the tip. Then top it off with a couple of coats of mascara to keep the curl in place throughout the day! Try to get hold of waterproof mascaras as they last a lot longer that the normal ones!

Lip and Cheek Tint

In order to achieve the most natural base, it is important for you to not overdo the blush. Lip and cheek tint comes handy here as it very light in formula and you can blend it away a lot more easily. It also last a lot longer and so for a beginner you should opt for this over a powder blush anytime!
